Comptroller to Recognize Ellicott City Liquor Store

Petite Cellars will be proclaimed a Maryland success.

Maryland Comptroller Peter Franchot announced that he will be visiting Ellicott City Thursday to tour the newly developed Turf Valley Towne Square.

Specifically, Franchot will recognize Petite Cellars, the liquor store that opened at the square in November.

Owner Tom Yates will receive a proclamation from Franchot for what the comptroller said was "the store's newfound success."

Located at 11079 Resort Road in Ellicott City, Petite Cellars sells wine, beer and spirits. Franchot and other elected officials will tour the shop at 2:15 p.m. Thursday.
