Coming Soon: Ellicott City Spring Celebration

This year's celebration features seven hours of food, drink and music.

Bands, beer and a moonbounce?

It must be time for Ellicott City's Spring Celebration.

This year’s event is on April 20. Hosted by the Ellicott City Business Association (ECBA) and local sponsors, it will feature live music – lots of live music – food, craft beer and family-friendly activities.

“We're excited to showcase so much talent from Ellicott City and around Baltimore," ECBA Vice President Jeni Porter, said in a statement.  "With craft brews and children's activities, we will have something for the entire family."

A festival isn’t a festival without a moon bounce, but this year’s Spring Celebration will also offer children’s activities that highlight Earth Day (April 22), including a station where they can make Earth Day collages, and a chance to plant flowers and vegetables.

This is a Historic District event, so there is sure to be plenty of food and beer on-hand. Three beer gardens will serve up local brews from Ellicott Mills Brewing Company and Halethorpe-based Heavy Seas. Pure Wine Café, The Wine Bin and La Palapa will also be serving drinks at the beer gardens and local restaurants will, of course, be open for business.

The April 20 celebration starts at noon and runs until 7 p.m. Admission is free and there will be a free shuttle between Main Street and the Circuit Courthouse parking lot.
