These books (singles or series) are classic must-reads and perfect for an afternoon on the couch as the weather starts to turn!  You will rediscover characters you loved, memories forgotten, maybe even read a book you never read.  Your children will be introduced to new friends and stories that will hopefully stay with them for a lifetime!  And most of all, you will spend time together!

1.  Charlotte’s Web

2.  Nancy Drew-The Secret of the Old Clock

3.  Mrs. Frisby and the Rats of Nimh

4.  Little House in the Big Woods

5.  The Hobbit

6.  The Secret Garden

7.  James and the Giant Peach

10.  Treasure Island

There are so many more—The Chronicles of Narnia, Winnie-the-Pooh, Anne of Green Gables, The Wizard of Oz…and this list doesn’t begin to cover the New Reads that are sure to be considered Classics soon!

I would like to petition to get A Wrinkle in Time on this list! It's still my favorite book ever.
