Great Escapes: Colonial to Contemporary Styles at Annual Decorator Show House

House hunters, decorators, and antique lovers will not want to miss the hosted by Historic Ellicott City Inc. This year the decorator show house -- in its 27th year -- is located in the Maple Lawn area south of Columbia, at 8105 Holly Manor Way in Fulton.

Holly Manor, a colonial revival estate, is set on several acres. Local designers have accentuated the home's 18th century historic lineage in many of the over 25 decorated rooms. With a nod to contemporary style, some of the rooms were designed with a more modern flair. The home has something for everyone.

Now through October 23, visitors can tour the decorator show house:

• Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
• Thursday from 109 a.m. to 8 p.m.
• Sunday from noon to 5 p.m.
• Closed Mondays

The last admission is one hour before closing. Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 purchased at the door. Tickets can be purchased online through Historic Ellicott City Inc. or found at the following Ellicott City and surrounding retailers:
