Ellicott City Restoration Foundation honors those dedicated to the Historic District.

Enalee Bounds opened Ellicott’s County Store with her mother and sister 50 years ago.

This year, the Ellicott City Restoration Foundation named her Person of the Year. The annual award honors a person the Foundation believes has shown “extraordinary dedication to the Ellicott City Historic District.”

“Many feel that [Bounds] and her business were the spark that fired the rebirth of the town,” said W. Edward Lilly, president of the Foundation’s Board of Directors. “She has served on numerous boards and commissions all working to keep Ellicott City the remarkable place that we all see and enjoy today.”
