Beat the Heat - Restorative Yoga with Olga Campora

·      Where:   7130 Minstrel Way, Suite 160, Columbia

·      Description:  Two hour yoga event that helps to reduce stress.

·      Cost: $35

Eat, Drink, and SING to Cure Cancer!

·      Where:  Second Chance Saloon, 5888 Robert Oliver Place, Columbia

·      When:  Saturday, July 20, 6 p.m.

·      Description:  Fund raising night including food, drinks, music and company to help raise money for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Silent auction, raffle for Kindle Fire, and donate-to-sing karaoke.

·      Cost:  Second Chance will donate 10% of their food and drink proceeds to LLS from 6pm-11pm.

Shauna Quinn Cancer Benefit Poker Run

·      Where:  Laurel Elks Lodge #2283- 82, 8261 Brock Bridge Road Laurel

·      When:  Saturday, July 20, 8 a.m.

·      Description:  Shauna Quinn Cancer Benefit Poker Run.  Money raised will go to help family pay for medical expenses.

·      Cost:  $10 – passenger on motorcycle, $25 – motorcycle, $25 - car

Open Doors Food Pantry

·      Where:  12430 Scaggsville Rd, Highland

·      When:  Saturday, July 20, 10 a.m.

·      Description:  The Open Doors Food Pantry will distribute food every third Saturday beginning July 20.  Registration 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. Need a driver’s license or ID card to register.

·      Cost: Free

 

Pedal and Pick

·      Where:  Ride starts and ends at Larriland Farms, 2415 Woodbine Rd  Woodbine

·      When:  Saturday, July 21, 9:30 a.m.

·      Description:  Sponsored by Terrapin Adventures in Savage. 13.3 mile ride through Western Howard County farm land. 

·      Cost: $49.95 (Bring your own bike = $25)

Summer Saturday Nature Series: Container Gardens

·      Where:  Benjamin Banneker Park & Museum, 300 Oella Ave,Catonsville

·      When:  Saturday, July 20, 11 a.m.

·      Description:  Plant your own garden using recycled materials.

·      Cost:  Please call ahead to register as space is limited.

 

First Place Singles Walk/Lunch

·      Where:  Centennial Lake, Rt. 108, Ellicott City

·      When:  Sunday, July 21, 12 p.m.

·      Description:  A social group for singles, 40+ for a walk around Centennial Lake followed by lunch at 1 pm at LeeLynns (on the porch) at 9495 Old Annapolis Road, Ellicott City.
