Why to go:  Kick off summer reading with children’s stories, face painting, crafts and activities for all ages.

Where/When:     9105-I All Saints Road, Savage, Maryland 20723. Saturday, June 2, 2012.  10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.

Why to go:  The fair will offer preventive health screenings including blood pressure and diabetes screening, 6000lbs of free food will be given away to families along with free bikes and activities for children.

Pricing: FREE

 

Where/When:     6030 Daybreak Circle, River Hill Village Center, Columbia, MD 21029, Sunday, June 3 11:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Why to go:  Enjoy a self-guided tour through Columbia homes, selected based on their diverse architecture and unique qualities.

Pricing: $25 on Sunday, proceeds go to charity.

 

Where/When:     Smith Theatre – Howard Community College

Why to go:  The orchestra bursts out in dazzling colors for this virtuosic, family-friendly event. Classics by Beethoven and Rimsky-Korsakov are paired alongside thrilling new works by Zhou Tian and Arturo Márquez, and the astonishing talents of our Young Artist Competition winners help bring the season to a powerful close.

Pricing: FREE (donations are welcome to help meet the expenses of a volunteer community orchestra.)
