Mustache Bash at Rafael's Raises Money for Men's Health Initiatives

Prizes were given for the best mustaches.

Big or small, out of control or well trimmed, mustaches were on display Thursday night at Rafael's for the Mustache Bash to benefit men's health initiatives.

Part of the Movember movement, the event encouraged men to grow their facial hair in November to start conversations about men's health initiatives including cancer and mental health.

Stylists from Elements of Style in Eldersburg were on hand to sell Movember t-shirts and other paraphernalia. They were also available to trim the mustaches of willing participants.

Judges -- Westminster Mayor Kevin Utz, BB&T Bank Manager Kelly Baldwin and Patch Editor Kym Byrnes (yes, me) -- picked four "Mo Winners."

Mike Golden won the Man of Movember category; Matt Ward took away the Lame Mo award; Larry Dorsey was named the Ultimate Mo; and Cameron Logue was crowned Miss Movember for her Movember dress and spirit.

Proceeds from the event will benefit men's heath initiatives.
