Local Photographers Wanted For Foundation's Annual Contest

Amateur photographers will once again have the opportunity to submit their work to the Ellicott City Restoration Foundation’s annual photo contest.

Participants will be judged in three categories: adult (18 and over), junior (17 and under) and also in a special category dubbed, “Doors of Ellicott City.” The last day for entries is May 26 at 5 p.m. Entries are requested to be delivered to the Howard County Welcome Center at 8267 Main St. in Ellicott City.

Each photo submitted will be on display for a month through July 7. Winners will be announced a month prior on June 7. Submissions will become property of the Ellicott City Restoration Foundation.

The public will have an opportunity to attend a reception on June 1 at 7 p.m. to celebrate the works submitted. Those interested are asked to fill a registration form, which can be found online at www.ecrestoration.org.
