Looking to have a well-rounded weekend? We've got a few events in and around Ellicott City that can help.

Why Go: Spring is in the air, and what better way to celebrate it than with the first of Ellicott City's First Fridays? This is a new event that will happen each week. Retailers and galleries will stay open until 8 p.m., so come down and browse through some of the area's best shops!

COOKING WITH A DATE

When/Where: 2331 Calvin Cir, Ellicott City, March 6, 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.  

Why Go: Look at these pictures. Just look. Don't you want to cook these things for someone special? It would certainly win me over... (hint).

Pricing: $48 for two people.

Where/When: , Saturday, March 5, 2 p.m.

Why Go: Bring your family and friends and learn how to make lanterns. Materials will be provided for you, so just bring yourself! Make the lanterns and then carry them in the 5th Annual Lanterns of Hope parade on Friday, April 29, during Historic Ellicott City's Cherrybration Celebration.
