A Vinnese New Year's Celebration Concert

As stated by St. Johns Episcopal Church

A Howard County first! The Orchestra of St. John's presents a  Viennese New Year's Celebration Concert  on Sunday, January 16th, 2011 at 4 PM at the St. John's Episcopal Church, located at 9120 Frederick Road in Ellicott City, Maryland.   Featured will be the music of Johann Strauss and other waltz classics danced in full costume by members of the Howard County Ballet and a special video presentation , "The Wonders of Howard County" with photographs and video by Alex Merkel, Judy  Joklik, and Don DeGeorge. On display will be the art work of local Howard County artist Leigh Grohe and a festive champagne and chocolate reception following the concert. In addition,  a  special piece has been written for the occasion and the audience will be invited to carry on the Viennese  tradition of clapping to the crowd pleasing finale, The Radetzky March.
