CSX Bridge Getting Facelift

The work on the CSX Bridge on Main Street in Ellicott City is expected to take about two weeks.

Construction workers will be working on the CSX bridge on Main St., Ellicott City for approximately two weeks as they repair aging concrete.

Brian Miller the foreman with Protective Coatings LLC said that workers will be resurfacing the concrete around the sides of the bridge, but not altering any of the weathered stones.

"They're too beautiful to touch," said Miller about the granite stones that support the bridge.

Miller said traffic patterns under the bridge will be shifted slightly until the work is completed.

This is the first time work has been done on the bridge since 1931, said Miller.
