Construction on Frederick to Cause Occasional Lane Shifts Until Fall

Construction to upgrade a natural gas line underneath the road surface will cause occasional lane shifts on Frederick Road between Rogers Ave. and St. Johns Lane.

 

A BGE project along Frederick Road to upgrade a natuaral gas main will cause occasional lane shifts on the busy road between Rogers Ave and St. Johns Lane.

The project began on April 22 and is scheduled to continue until the fall. Construction is scheduled to only take place between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. on weekdays, according to a BGE release.

On Thursday, flaggers were stationed directing traffic into a single lane while workers pulled up a section of the road.

BGE said utility crews will progress in short segments, so Frederick Road will remain open for the duration of the project.
