Catch a Hot Air Balloon this Month at Turf Valley

The annual hot air balloon festival at Turf Valley floats off this year May 16 - 18 at Turf Valley and includes a two-night balloon festival as well as evening and early morning launches.
The festival, which takes place May 16 and 17, starting at 4 p.m., includes family activities, crafts, retail stands and live entertainment.

Guests are invited to walk-through an inflated hot air balloon, or float up into the sky on a tethered balloon.
Balloon rides will be available for purchase. Ballons launch at 6:30 p.m. and 6:30 a.m. on Thursday and Friday as well as 6:30 a.m. on Saturday.

At dusk, the nightly balloon glow takes place, in which pilots use lights to make their balloons glow.
Parking is located at the Howard County Fairgrounds, with a $5 donation per car, to benefit the Elkridge Adult Athletic Association. Admission to the balloon festival is free.
