Andrew Peterson in Concert

  • Where:  12290 Folly Quarter Rd, Ellicott City
  • When:  Friday, April 19, 7 p.m.
  • Description:  The Shrine of St. Anthony hosts a Concert with Andrew Peterson, famed singer-songwriter and author.
  • Cost: $20

Earth Day Celebration

  • Where:  Benjamin Banneker Historical Park and Museum, 300 Oella Ave, Catonsville
  • When:  Saturday, April 20, 10 a.m.
  • Description:  Love Dove Natural Farms Produce Presentation.  Visitors are invited to design their own reusable bags, recycle electronics, learn about gardens and composting stations and more.
  • Cost:  Free

Glen Mar Family 5K Run/Walk

  • Where:  Glen Mar United Methodist Church, 4701 New Cut Rd, Ellicott City
  • When:  Saturday, April 20, 9 a.m.
  • Description:  Glen Mar United Methodist Church will hold a Family 5K Run/Walk.  The course will cover streets surrounding the church.  
  • Cost: $30

Battle of the Books

  • Where:  Atholton High School, 6520 Freetown Rd, Columbia
  • When:  Friday, April 19, 7 p.m.
  • Description:  Teams of fifth grade students answer questions about 16 books in a fun, innovative reading competition in the style of a TV quiz show. Prizes awarded to the top three teams.
  • Cost: Free

Annual Spring Festival Education Charity 5K Run Walk

  • Where:  Rockburn Branch Park (East Area), 5400 Landing Rd, Elkridge
  • When:  Saturday, April 20, 9 a.m.
  • Description:  The Annual Spring Festival Education Charity 5K Run/Walk.  175-200 runners and walkers will participate in this springtime event.  Prizes will be awarded to the top runners, in each age group, male and female and would appreciate your help.
  • Cost: $20

Piccadilly Circus

  • Where:  433 Andover Rd, Linthicum Heights
  • When:  Friday, April 19, 7:30 p.m., Saturday, April 20, 1:30 p.m., 4:30 p.m., 7:30 p.m., Sunday, April 21, 1 p.m., 3:30 p.m., 6:00 p.m.
  • Description:  This brand new show features racing camels, Oka, a 9000 pound Asian elephant that stands atop a 3 foot round ball & rolls across the circus ring. Oka is joined by a herd of African & Asian elephants and dancing zebras.
  • Cost: Free

  • Where:  6275 Old Washington Rd, Elkridge
  • When:  Saturday, April 20, 5 p.m.
  • Description:  Chill Softball will be holding a Bingo Event on April 20 at the Elkridge Fire Department.  Doors open at 5, bingo will start at 6pm.  Thirty-one bags, Coach Purses, and Longaberger baskets will be filled with great prizes for each game.  Other raffles including King Tut and Chilly Balls will also be offered.
  • Cost:  $20
