Assignment: Looking for Love

Call me Bond. James Bond. Or Butch. Either way, call me yours.

My real name is Butch.

But, I much prefer my spy name: Bond, James Bond.

I seem to attract the ladies a lot more with that name. I am very friendly and --need I say? -- handsome.

I was assigned to over a year and a half ago. I am undercover as the shelter greeter and hang out on the desk offering guests the opportunity to scratch my chin before proceeding to visit the other cats.

I was tasked with securing the premises at night, protecting against the infiltration of the enemy fleas, and overseeing the fair distribution of wet cat food.  My last detail oversaw the successful transfer of a group of shih-tzus from West
Virginia.

(Yes, the shelter now has dogs thanks to me).

This deployment has been rewarding, but I’d never imagined I would be here so long. Every day I hope to get re-assigned to a residential location.

And if that new location would have kids, well, life couldn’t get much better than that.
