Holiday Festival of Trains

  • Where: B&O Railroad Museum: Ellicott City Station, 2711 Maryland Ave, Ellicott City

  • Description:  B&O Railroad museum's annual holiday celebration of toy trains and model railroading. New this year is a custom-built 360-degree LEGO model train layout created by The Washington D.C. Metropolitan Area LEGO Train Club.

A Christmas Carol

  • Description:  Howard Community College presents its take on A Christmas Carol.

The Nutcracker Ballet

  • Where:  Wilde Lake High School, 5460 Trumpeter Rd, Columbia

  • Description:  The Arabesque Dance Studio presents The Nutcracker Ballet.

Christmas Variety Show

  • Where: Elkridge Baptist Church, 5929 Setter Dr, Elkridge
  • When: Sunday, Dec. 16, 6 p.m.
  • Description:  Evening of praise, fellowship and talents.  All are welcome.

Salute to Santa & The Elkridge Volunteer Fire Dept

  • Where: Elkridge Volunteer Fire Department, 6275 Old Washington Rd, Elkridge
  • When:  Saturday, Dec. 15, 10 a.m.
  • Description:  After more than 15 years of service, Gene Poligardo will be passing his “Santa bells” to another member of the EVFD.  EVFD’s antique 1947 fire engine will be transporting Santa as it has for 25 years down Old Washington Road and through Elkridge.
  • Cost: Free

 

Santa Secret Gift Shop

  • Where:  Elkridge Volunteer Fire Department, 6275 Old Washington Rd,Elkridge
  • When:  Sunday, Dec. 16, 7:30 a.m.
  • Description: Children are welcome to shop for their family members.  Gifts range from $1 to $4.  The Junior Firefighters will assist children with buying gifts and will wrap the gifts for them. For every item a child purchases, they will receive a ticket for a chance to win a prize. The gift shop will be located behind the firehouse, in the garage on the hill.
  • Cost: Free
