Professional SportsCare & Rehab and Howard County High Schools Collaborate for Safe Sports School Award

Professional SportsCare & Rehab congratulates its athletic training staff (ATCs) and the Howard County Public School System (HCPSS) for being recognized by the National Athletic Trainers’ Association as a Safe Sports School. HCPSS is the first school system in the state of Maryland to have all of its high schools recognized with this prestigious award.

In partnership with the Howard County School District, Professional SportsCare & Rehab helped ensure that the school district complied with the requirement rubric for consideration. Professional SportsCare & Rehab, through their sports medicine division, supplies athletic training services to eight of the twelve high schools within the Howard County School District (*See below for a full list of partnering high schools). Professional SportsCare & Rehab ATCs provide sports medicine coverage for all after-school practices and home games, across all sports and levels of play.

“We work with student athletes and coaches across the district to provide convenient and timely care on the field. Our Certified Athletic Trainers (ATCs) assess potential injuries to ensure a proper recovery, so that each athlete can return to their highest competitive level,” says Alli Hammond, ATC and Howard County Sports Medicine Coordinator at Professional SportsCare & Rehab. “We wanted the school district to receive the recognition they deserve for their safety practices.”
