ELLICOTT CITY OLD TOWN MARKET: Live Local Music at Two Great Locations, Falcon Ridge Farm's Sweet Cherries & Blueberries, Locally Grown Vegetables, Eggs, & More!!!

Buy local and Eat fresh ... and listen to Live Local Music this Saturday, June 28, 2014 at the Ellicott City Old Town Market in Historic Ellicott City, Maryland!

Locally grown musician, Miranda Judd, will liven up the Ellicott City Old Town Market on the Courtyards of Tonge Row beginning at 10 am!

A 2014 graduate of Wilde Lake High School, Miranda has been singing and playing guitar publicly since at least the age of nine. She has competed in three annual Columbia Association “Hear my Voice” competitions and have been a finalist each of those years.

Miranda's primary musical interest is in singing and playing guitar, both acoustic & electric. Her individual performance style is largely rooted in Country, Alternative, Classic and Light Rock and Pop genres. Miranda can easily belt out Patsy Cline's "Crazy" and Janis Joplin's "Bobby McGee" in addition to singing her own songs.

Miranda has taken voice and guitar instruction for over eight years at the Columbia School of Music with owner/instructor Kurt Krenzischek. Additionally, she has taken voice lessons at the School of Rock in Columbia and has played guitar and lead vocals in their top tier
Performance Band.

What music will we have Uptown at the Wine Bin?  Well ... we're gonna JAZZ it up a bit.

Mark Runkles, one half of the Twin Arch Duo, will be performing Uptown at the Wine Bin.

The Twin Arch Duo combines oboist, saxophonist, and composer Mark Runkles with guitarist and singer Charlie Trapp. Formed in the spring of 2013 after meeting in the newly formed Mt. Airy Arts Alliance, the Twin Arch Duo plays a mix of standard and contemporary jazz.

Mark Runkles recently completed his Doctor of Musical Arts in Oboe Performance at UNLV. Dr. Runkles earned his Master of Fine Arts in Oboe Performance and Master of Arts in Jazz Studies from the University of Iowa and his Bachelor of Arts in Oboe Performance from St. Mary’s College of Maryland. In 2008, he performed a series of Jazz Vespers services in Scotland. He served as the Assistant Principal Oboe with the Chesapeake Orchestra from 1999–2004 and performed on 2nd Oboe with the Las Vegas Philharmonic from the winter of 2009 through 2012. Dr. Runkles is a student of Stephen Caplan, Mark Weiger, and Vladimir Lande.

Market patrons may Buy Local, Eat Fresh, and listen to Live Local Music   at the Ellicott City Old Town Market every Saturday through Nov. 8, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., at both of our Historic Ellicott City, Maryland locations: on the Courtyards of Tonge Row (Lot D) and Uptown at the Wine Bin (adjacent to lot F).
