Advocating To End Homelessness

For a few slices of pizza and familiar tunes playing in the background, students from the Long Reach Horizon Club volunteered their time and laptops to help provide data entry support for the Campaign to End Homelessness in Howard County. The Grassroots Route One Day Center has been collecting supporters’ names and contact information on postcards. The students helped to put all the information together in a combined spreadsheet. The names, along with the postcards, will be presented to Howard County Executive Ken Ulman at an upcoming meeting. Among the volunteers from the Horizon Club at Long Reach High School were (from l.) Haily Kim, Emma Ur, Sydney Grohe, McKenzie Langford, Carolyn Lamb, Amanda Johnson, Adwoa Boateng and Vishwa Shah
