Summer is a great time to make a difference in your community!  Daytime, evening and weekend opportunities are available for adults looking for a flexible and truly rewarding volunteer experience.

Neighbor Ride is a volunteer-based nonprofit dedicated to decreasing isolation and improving the quality of life for Howard County’s older residents by providing transportation for health care appointments, cultural and social activities, volunteer commitments, shopping, fitness and language classes, religious services and other personal needs.   Our volunteer drivers simply choose to provide the needed rides that fit their schedules and are convenient to their homes, offices and daily routines.  NO SET SCHEDULE IS REQUIRED.  Parents are welcome to bring their children along with volunteering for a great intergenerational experience. We offer this service so local seniors, age 60 and over, can remain healthy, independent and connected to the community.
