 it crosses Virginia\, Maryland and Pennsylvania\, featuring historic Civ

 espondents and the site of several Civil War battles.&nbsp\; Hike throug
 h a series of high cliffs\, picturesque forests\, and keep an eye out fo
 r migrating hawks\, deer and wild turkey.&nbsp\; The hawks stream in gre
 at waves\, sometimes at eye-to-eye level.&nbsp\; Named one&nbsp\;of the 
 most spectacular views along the AT\, catch a glimpse of the panoramic v
 iew at Pleasant Valley Overlook and enjoy lunch at the cliffs overlookin
 g the Potomac River and the three states.&nbsp\; Moderately difficult&nb
 sp\;terrain:&nbsp\;7 miles.
