The Marshall Legacy Institute (MLI), a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, is hosting a K9-9K Walkathon & Run at Glenelg Country School (GCS) to raise money to sponsor a life-saving mine detection dog. Participants are encouraged to bring their well-behaved (and leashed) dogs to this fun-filled event, which will kick off with a walk/run around the beautiful campus at GCS in Ellicott City, MD. There will be three courses to accommodate everyone’s fitness level – a 1k, 5k, and 9k. Following the walk/run, there will be a barbeque, raffle prizes, and dog agility courses! MLI’s canine ambassador, MDD Senna, will also be on-site performing mine detection demonstrations, showing how dogs are able to safely and effectively “sniff out” landmines! http://marshall-legacy.org/
