CCTA's Bright Lights of Broadway is an innovative program that helps children with communication disorders and social skills needs improve their communication abilities through musical theatre! Fun, creative games and exercises help students learn to use their bodies and voices to convey emotion using intelligible speech and varying pitch. The program is led by experienced musical theatre instructors in consultation with professionals in speech-language pathology. Each session culminates in a final performance for friends and family.
Classes are for children with communication disorders and social skills needs in grades 4-8. This program will run for a full year - fall and spring - on Satrudays from 1:30-2:45pm. Fall semester begins September 22, 2012. The cost is $185 per semester. The program will be held at St. John's Parish Day School, 9130 Frederick Road, Ellicott City, MD 21042.
