I'm a mom and wife who loves all things sweet and homemade, and I'm baking to end childhood hunger!

Strawberry Lemonade

Ingredients:

  • 1 pint strawberries
  • 1/2 cup sugar, plus 2 teaspoons
  • 1/2 cup fresh lemon juice
  • Water
  • 2 glasses

Instructions:

Puree the fresh strawberries and 2 teaspoons sugar in a food processor.

Spoon half the strawberry puree, 1/4 cup sugar, and 1/4 cup lemon juice into each of the two glasses.

Add ice to fill half the glass.  Top off with water or club soda.

Stir, and enjoy!

Makes 2 servings.

This is so far superior to the nasty drink sold by McD's. Thank you for posting it!

When it gets hot, I live off of smoothies. I take whatever fruit I'm in the mood for, chop it up and freeze it. Then, when I'm ready, I just break chunks off, add orange juice and carrot juice, and blend! These are about as precise as my instructions get -- sorry! My stand-by is banana, strawberry, mango and sometimes kale, with orange and carrot juice. Yum!
