Water Main Break, Water Restrictions
For the second day in a row, a water main break in Ellicott City leaves homes, businesses dry. For the rest of us, a water restriction remains in place.
A broken water main has left about 20 homes and businesses without water Tuesday, according to the Howard County Department of Public Works.
The county reported the break at about 7:45 a.m. Tuesday morning and estimated a repair time of about six hours. The main is on the 4700 block of Gawain Drive.
The same main broke Monday morning, just before 10 a.m., according to a release from the county.
The county is still asking residents with water to voluntarily restrict water use while Baltimore City officials work on a water main there which supplies water to Howard County.
