Frisco's New Micro Brewery

Frisco Taphouse & Brewery has more than 50 beers on tap and with the addition of a new micro brewery, owners expect some of those beers to be brewed right in their storefront.

On Wednesday, Scott Mills, of Premier Stainless Systems, a brewery equipment company, was installing the new micro brewing setup and explained how each piece is used.

Frisco's owner Adam Carton and new brewmaster, Ray Andreassen, who also brews at Ellicott Mills Brewing Company, talked about plans for the new brewery.

At the beginning, said Carton, the plan is to serve craft brews directly from the conditioning tanks to the taps, but eventually he said he hopes to keg and bottle some of the new brews.

"We're going to produce as much as people drink," said Carton.

Andreassen joked that the test batch, which they expect to produce in about a month, will be a quadruple India Pale Ale.

It would be nice if you told us where the new brewery is located.

No problem Tom, it's located at 6695 Dobbin Road in Columbia. The brewery itself is inside a small room in the storefront. Here's their website for more info - http://www.friscogrille.com/
