Ulman to Speak at Prayer Vigil for Trayvon Martin
Local organizations are holding the vigil to show solidarity with the Florida teen.
Howard County Executive Ken Ulman is scheduled to speak at a prayer vigil for Trayvon Martin on Monday, April 9 at St. John Baptist Church in Columbia.
The vigil starts at 7 p.m.
Martin’s death has become a national issue after the teen was shot and killed by neighborhood watch volunteer George Zimmerman in Sanford, FL. Zimmerman has said he acted in self-defense. He has not been charged under Florida’s controversial “Stand Your Ground” law.
The vigil organizers, the NAACP Youth Council, the African American Coalition of Howard County and the St. John the Baptist Community have invited the public to attend. St. John Baptist Church is located at 9055 Tamar Drive, Columbia.

I see Ken "dirty, filthy" Ulman is engaging in ridiculous pandering. Truly disgraceful behavior from an elected official. It's all about his ambition and his upcoming run for Governor. Either that, or he's bought into the half-truths and lies peddled by the media and Democrats about Zimmerman. The investigation isn't over and all the evidence hasn't come to light yet. Ulman is a lawyer, he should know better than to convict someone in the court of public opinion before the end of an investigation.

Its now a joke since all the evidence has come out. The kid was a punk. His twitter account had such filth. From what real news on what happened, he came up to Zimmerman and beat the crap out of him until he was shot in self defense. NBC got in trouble for editing the 911 call. I wish the news would stop protraying him as an innocent kid.

Yes. And Ellicott City Patch is using a doctored photo of Trayvon. Disgraceful.
Not for Ulman in EC

I went to school with Ulman and after reading this have lost all respect. He will not get my vote for anything else he does. No one knows what really went on here and people of all races are killing each other every day. There should be more uproar over the black-on-black killings going on everyday in Baltimore and other large cities all over the US.
This is an isolated incident that has yet to go to court. People are acting
Iike this is a large conspiracy but unless someone has clear evidence that one of the two parties was truly in the wrong, we cannot judge until all of the facts are truly known. And frankly, we may never know.

Amen. Politicians such as Ulman and others using a killing as a prop for political campaigns is truly sad.
