Three Burglaries, Two Arrests

A mini-burglary spree in Ellicott City leads to arrests.

Two men were arrested after a three-home burglary spree in Ellicott City last night.

Police say a witness saw two men wearing hooded sweatshirts, gloves and ski masks carrying a television out of an apartment on the 3000 block of Autumn Branch Lane.

Police searched the area and set up a perimeter; the K9 unit found suspects near Route 40. They determined that two nearby homes – both on the 3000 block of Oak Green Court -- had also been broken into.

The apartments had been ransacked, according to police, and the suspects fled with clothes, computers, jewelry, a Wii, a television and -- a coin jar.

Police say they were able to recover a good portion of the stolen property because it had been left in stockpiles in the woods, and abandoned as the suspects tried to escape.

Michael Anthony Harrell, 18, of Randallstown and Laru Lamont Wright, 20, of Baltimore, were arrested.
