A train car, once filled with coal, is driven away by truck bed on Frederick Road in Ellicott City after an overnight accident that derailed 21 train cars and killed two young women.

Just before midnight Tuesday, 21 cars of an 80-car-long freight train derailed along the CSX line that travels through the Ellicott City historic district, according to police.
At least two people were found dead on the train tracks when crews responded to the scene, at about midnight, police said.
