Thousands of people in central Maryland are still without power, and Patch editors were busy this week snapping photos of the destruction and recovery efforts throughout the storm's path.

From downed trees and power lines, to pet adoption facilities just trying to keep the puppies cool, Patch is sharing some of the best scenes of restoration, desperation and coperation during a very difficult time.
