Overturned Plow Closes Off Ramp on Route 29

No injuries were reported at the scene of the incident, at the Route 100 exit.

A snow plow turned over on Route 29 at Route 100, according to the Howard County Police.

The incident occurred just after 2 p.m. Thursday on the southbound side of the roadway, according to the Maryland State Highway Administration.  

No injuries were reported and there were no other vehicles involved, according to police.

The south off-ramp from Route 29 is currently closed, according to the SHA's interactive CHART map. Check CHART online for updates on roadway incidents across the state. 

"Treacherous travel conditions" are expected to continue into the night as a wintry mix of snow, sleet and rain continues to fall, according to the National Weather Service (NWS). Up to one inch of snow and sleet may accumulate Wednesday night, as well as up to a tenth of an inch of ice, according to NWS.

Winds are forecast to gust up to 35 mph and temperatures will drop to the low-30s tonight. Tomorrow, NWS forecasts more rain and winds gusting as fast as 45 mph.
