Need to Relax? I Can Help: Cat of the Week

Call me lazy, I prefer 'laid back.'

Hello dear. My name is Professor Smokey.

In my past life, I was a well respected psychology professor at a top-notch university. I’ve been able to study this human species in depth for quite some time.

And you know what I’ve noticed?

Humans are stressed out. They are always rushing from one place to the next and never bothering to take the time to relax and enjoy the finer things in life.

I have the purrfect solution to their problem: Me.

I am the master of relaxation. Some may call it lazy and I didn’t get the nickname “Slug” for no reason, but I call it the art of preventing stress. So if you need a little forced relaxation in your life, take me home and I will trap you on the couch and snuggle with you in one spot as long as you let me.

Oh, and you may have noticed the cast on my paw. Small Miracles rescued me from another shelter where I was brought in with a broken leg.  They fixed my leg and now all I have to do is look forward to relaxing in my new home.

Small Miracles Cat Rescue is a nonprofit, no-kill cat (and dog!) shelter in Ellicott City. Each week we will feature an animal that needs a home. If you happen to pick up one of these lovelies, post a picture and let us know! Visit the Cat of the Week blog to see which cats have been adopted and which are still looking for a home.
