Chocolate-tasting, mask-making and a new ice cream shop are converging in Ellicott City this weekend to support Blossoms of Hope.
The Ellicott City Spring Festival is Saturday, and it will bring a taste of Howard County's Cherrybration Days to Historic Ellicott City from 11 a.m. – 6 p.m. in the Historic District.
This is the largest collaboration between Blossoms of Hope and the Ellicott City Business Association to date.

Adults can enjoy shopping, live music, food and a beer garden (sponsored by Ellicott Mills Brewing Company) and there will be a host of events for kids including a scavenger hunt with prizes, a moon bounce, and a mask-making tour with stops at different shops.
And at the end of the mask-making tour, kids can get a free ice cream scoop at Scoop AHH dee doo, an ice cream shop at Tongue Row that will have its grand opening Saturday.
Up the hill, find more adult-friendly activities at the Wine Bin, which will be hosting its own Spring Charity Festival from noon – 5 p.m.
For $30 you’ll get wine, appetizers and chocolate, along with live music. Proceeds benefit Voices for Children as well as Blossoms of Hope. Tickets for the Wine Bin festival are available at the store, or by calling Voices of Hope at 410-740-0933. Tickets are limited.
Throughout the day, there will also be two stages with live music and wandering balloon makers, street performers and more.
