Love Ellicott City? Let the World Know
Reader's Digest magazine is looking for America's Most Interesting Town.
Are you always bragging about Ellicott City?
Do you constantly find gems at the shops on Main Street? Do you love that your neighbors come from all over the world? Do you head to Patapsco Valley State Park at the first sign of spring? Did your children receive a stellar education at an Ellicott City School?
Reader's Digest magazine is looking for the nation's Most Interesting Town.
If you think Ellicott City fits the bill, you have until May 31 to share a story and images that illustrate why you think Ellicott City is so special.
The author of the winning story will win $1,000, and the winning town will be featured on the cover of an upcoming issue of Reader's Digest, according to a press release from the magazine.
This new contest is part of the Reader's Digest We Hear You America campaign, "a grassroots initiative that serves as a catalyst to empower Americans to help their communities," according to the statement.
What do you think makes Ellicott City an interesting town? Let everyone know in the comments.

I love Main Street-- the guy blowing bubbles, the lattes at the French Market, all the antique stores and the seriously nice merchants at all the little shops.
