Live From the DNC
Mitch Case and Caitlyn Leiter-Mason are blogging about their experiences as delegates.
Buttons, bureaucrats and behind-the-scenes banter make up the meat of A Tale of Two Delegates, a tumblr page run by two delegates to the Democratic National Convention.
The page's authors, Mitch Case, of Ellicott City, and Caitlyn Leiter-Mason, of Frederick, give readers a glimpse of convention activity, including spotting political leaders.
On Tuesday, Leiter-Mason posted an image of her with Rep. Steney Hoyer, and also "an adorable picture of [Gov.] Martin O'Malley."
Case posted an image of himself with Howard County Executive Ken Ulman and a picture of dancing attendees captioned "Ain’t no party like a Maryland Democratic party!"
The two will continue to blog from the convention, which began in Charlotte, NC, on Tuesday and runs until Sept. 6.
Leiter-Mason is a junior political science major at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. Alumnus Case graduated from UMBC in 2011 with a degree in media and communications studies.
Leiter-Mason is president of UMBC College Democrats, and Case is past president of the organization, according to the university. Case is social media coordinator at the Baltimore Office of Promotion & the Arts.
Aside from rubbing elbows with political celebrities, Case and Leiter-Mason are writing about their experiences and answering questions posed by visitors.
Leiter-Mason can be followed on Twitter at @caitjoe, and Case can be followed at @themitchcase.
