Here's what's going on around Howard County this weekend.
Where: Main Street, Ellicott City
When: Saturday, Sept. 29 from noon to 7 p.m. in the city's Historic District
Why to go: This year's Fall Festival will not only feature family friendly activities such as pumpkin decorating, face painting and a moon bounce, but also a 53-band music festival. The bands will begin between noon and 1 p.m. on indoor and outdoor stages and will play throughout the day.

Where: Supreme Sports Club, 7080 Deepage Dr., Columbia
When: Saturday Sept. 29, 9 a.m. - 1 p.m.
Why to go: Columbia Association is hosting this free event, which consists of a Macy's fall fashion show, fitness class demos and special giveaways.

Where: Centennial Park, 10000 Route 108, Ellicott City
When: Saturday Sept. 29, 9 a.m.
Why to go: Join volunteers and staff for an opportunity to raise awareness and funds to help treat Alzheimer's disease with others from around Howard County.

Where: Baltimore St. & Georgia Ave., Halethorpe
When: Saturday Sept. 29, Sunday Sept. 30, 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Why to go: Dozens of local hobbyists will bring their remote control airplanes, jets and helicopters out to Southwest Area Park to fly through the air. In addition, flight demonstrations as well as novice training sessions will take place throughout the weekend.

Where: Mt. Hebron High School, Route 99, Ellicott City
When: Saturday Sept. 29, 7:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m.
Why to go: Mt. Hebron's annual pancake breakfast will be used to raise funds for the new Mt. Hebron football program and "Restore the V" Homecoming Day. There will also be entertainment and a silent auction.

Where: Elkridge Branch Library, 6540 Washington Blvd, Elkridge
When: Saturday Sept. 29, 3 p.m.
Why to go: Celebrate Pokemon's Sweet Sixteen! Bring your Nintendo DS and all your memories to a party that includes a cosplay contest and trivia. Ages 11-17.
