Hazardous Weather Outlook Issued for Central Maryland

The National Weather Service says to be on the lookout for possible heavy rain and hail.

The National Weather Service Saturday issued a hazardous weather outlook for central and Western Maryland, including Howard, Montgomery and Carroll counties.

For Saturday and Saturday night, showers and thunderstorms were expected across the Baltimore and Washington, D.C., metro areas, with possible large hail, lightning and heavy downpours.

Heavy rain is predicted for early next week as tropical moisture hits a slow-moving cold front. Flash flooding is possible, according to the NWS.
