Ellicott City’s newest grocery is set to open in two weeks.

Harris Teeter at Towne Square in Turf Valley, at 11075 Resort Road, is set to open on April 2 at 5:30 p.m. with a ribbon cutting ceremony.

Interested to know who will be running the new, 48,000-square-foot store? Manager Tanner Ellis and other employees will be on hand to meet customers, according to a statement sent out by Harris Teeter spokesperson Catherine Reuhl Becker.

“An excellent shopping experience starts in the store with customer service, high-quality perishables along with variety and selection,” Becker wrote. 

Throughout the weekend, the store will also host activities, including an on-site “Rancher Mobile Grill” April 12 – 14 and an on-site ice cream truck April 19 – 21. 

The North Carolina-based grocery chain opened in 1960. The Ellicott City location will be its 8^th in the state, offering the usual grocery fare as well as fresh flowers and floral arrangements; farmers market produce; sushi; prepared meals and more.
