Little Monsters Costume Contest
Where: Kelsey's Restaurant
When: Saturday, Oct. 29; 4 - 6 p.m.
What's so spooky?: Bring out your little monsters for an afternoon of fun. Kelsey's is holding a costume contest for all the little ones between under 12-years-old. Prizes, giveaways and free kids meal for monsters with every paying adult.
Halloween Weekend
Where:Clark's Elioak Farm
When: Saturday, Oct. 29 and Sunday, Oct. 30; 11 a.m. - 2 p.m.
What's so spooky?: Dress to impress for the Halloween costume contest. Plus, kids can get into pumpkins and cider in the country store; take a pony ride or hay ride; hop on the cow train; or get their faces painted.

Happy Haunt Hayride
Where: Rockburn Branch Park, Montgomery Road entrance
When:Sunday, Oct. 30; 2 - 4 p.m.
What's so spooky?: Not much, actually. This is a "hayride for fun, not for fright!" So bring your kids, ages 2 - 7, to the Montgomery Road entrance of the park for a slightly haunted hayride.
Price: $5
Haunted Experience
Where: Rockburn Branch Park, Montgomery Road entrance
When: Sunday, Oct. 30; 6:30 - 10 p.m.
What's so spooky?: Take the kids, 7 and older, for a spooky hay ride through the eerie trails at Rockburn Branch Park. End up at the ghostly dwelling deep in the woods where you'll be greeted by haunting tales of ghosts and goblins and horror that will tingle the spine.
Price: $10
Kiddie Hay Rides
Where: 12985 Frederick Road, West Friendship
When: Sunday, Oct. 30; 1 - 4 p.m.
What's so spooky?: Take a one-mile hayride and end at Haloween Land, where will will be characters from well-known nursery rhymes. Recommended for kids 11 and younger.
Price: $5 per child
