Why Go: Come out and celebrate spring's arrival at the farm! There will be pony rides, a petting zoo and other kid-friendly activities.

Where/When: New Cut Road Stream, Ellicott City, Saturday, April 2 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Why go: You can show your kids that the environment isn't just something to read about -- they can help by cleaning up New Cut Road Stream. Register by sending an email to patapscofriend@gmail.com.

Where/When: Patapsco Valley State Park Avalon Area at 5120 South St. in Halethorpe on Saturday, April 2, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Why Go: This is a great springtime family project! You all can learn more about bluebirds and monitor a bluebird house every two weeks from April to June. This is a great way to get your family out of the house and learn something new while you're at it!

THE ODD OLYMPICS: INTERACTIVE ENTERTAINMENT
Where/When: Howard County Library Central Branch on Friday, April 1, from 2 p.m. to 2:45 p.m. and 3:15 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Why Go: Come out and see the Odd Theatre Group explain how trees race, how difficult it is to NOT fall off of a chair and other fun topics like those!
