Dave Brown's wife died of ovarian cancer in August 2011.
A series of events - a book, a movie, a passion - led him to what he described as sort of an inevitibility: he would walk across the country to raise awareness of ovarian cancer.
He came through Ellicott City on Sunday and met with Cathy Eshmont and Ann Detrick, and Barbara Knight and stopped in the Howard County Welcome Center on his way to San Francisco.
