POLICE & DISPATCHERS RECEIVE 15 PERCENT DISCOUNT MAY 14 THROUGH MAY 18

For week three of its Local Hero Appreciation Month Uno (www.unos.com) will honor police officers and dispatchers with a 15 percent discount from May 14 through May 18, 2012. 

We want to recognize these men and women who help protect our lives and property on a daily basis.  Dispatchers and police personnel will receive the discount (not including alcohol or specials) during their specified week (Monday - Friday only) when they show identification such as an ID or badge.

“This is our way of thanking the people who take care of all of us,” said Frank Guidara, CEO of UNO.  “Many of our guests have family members or friends who protect and   serve whether on- or off-duty.  It’s an expression of the way we want to live and operate our business: we care. It’s an honor to show them our appreciation.” 

UNO has been, and will continue, celebrating other local heroes throughout the month of May.  In addition to the police force, these groups include teachers, medical professionals, EMS, firefighters and military personnel:

• Teachers - 4/30/12 through 5/4/12
• Medical Professionals - 5/7/12 through 5/11/12
• Police and Dispatchers - 5/14/12 through 5/18/12
• EMS and Firefighters - 5/21/12 through 5/25/12
• Military - 5/28/12 through 6/1/12
